I was given a great gift as a child: a musical education. This gift has enriched my life in countless ways, and has given me a strong foundation in the art that has become my profession. Music has proven to be a source of life-long joy and a gift that I can continue to give to others.
In teaching, it is my goal to help each student succeed. I use many aspects of the Suzuki approach in my studio including early musical exposure, formal training beginning at a young age (or any age!), parental involvement, loving and positive reinforcement, listening, review, group classes, and recitals. As a Suzuki student myself, I have seen the value of this approach first-hand. I now enjoy sharing this same experience with students of all ages, from beginning pre-Twinklers to advanced levels. Regardless of their eventual career path, I truly believe that students’ life will be enriched by having studied music and put the time and effort into developing such a rewarding skill.
I strive to maintain a studio with high standards of excellence and professionalism. I firmly believe in the importance of developing good technique from the start, giving students the tools they need to express musical ideas. I also work to instill in each student a life-long love and appreciation for music. As God has given me music, I want to give music to others, teaching what I’ve learned and inspiring others as I’ve been inspired.
